  • How do I sign up for Optify? (I am a student)

    Firstly, check that your site or building has Optify. Contact Customer Care if you are not sure.

    Most of our sites have a Wi-Fi network. Just look for Optify in the list of available wireless networks. Simply click to connect, open your browser and follow the onscreen instructions to sign up for a package.

    Many of our locations also have an Ethernet socket in the wall. Simply connect your computer to the socket with an Ethernet cable, open your browser and sign up from the screen that appears.

  • How do I sign up for Optify? (I am a keyworker)

  • How do I sign up for Optify? (home fibre)

    You should use our postcode checker to see whether your building has Optify.

  • Will I need a phone line?

    You don't need to have a separate telephone line (or pay line rental) to get Optify home fibre broadband.

    Optify uses the latest fibre optic technology, meaning you don’t need a landline.

    Also, in some locations, you can choose to have Optify's phone service as well as broadband. The phone service is what's know as Voice over IP, or VoIP for short. Once you've taken our phone service in addition to our broadband, you can plug a compatible handset into the back of the Home Hub and start making calls.

  • What will it cost for installation and setup?

    With Optify Home Fibre, you won’t pay any installation or setup charges. Our ultrafast fibre broadband comes complete with professional installation by one of our friendly and experienced engineers. Refer to your Home Hub user guide to get started. If you have any questions, simply contact our Customer Care team anytime.

  • When will I get my Optify home fibre broadband?

    If your home doesn't already have an Optify Home Hub, you will need to arrange for one of our engineers to set up our service.

    Our engineer will visit your place to install your new Optify fibre broadband service at a date selected by you. Unlike many other fibre broadband providers, you won’t have to wait long. We can install a new service in 5 business days from the day you place the order.

    If your home already has an Optify Home Hub, simply connect to then SSID printed on the Home Hub using the pass key, and you should be able to choose your service and connect straightaway.

  • Speeds on Home Fibre

    Our Home Fibre service comes with the following package options:

    • 50 Meg
    • 250 Meg
    • 1 Gig

    Each of these speeds is symmetrical - in other words, it has the same download and upload speeds.
